Privatized Military Housing Survey

U.S. Government Accountability Office

The U.S. Congress has asked the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to review hazards in privatized military housing. GAO is an independent, nonpartisan agency that conducts studies on federal programs and activities to help improve government operations. GAO is a Legislative Branch agency, meaning we work for the Congress, not the President or DOD. As part of this review, GAO is opening this questionnaire to all residents that have lived in privatized military housing since October 1, 2016. Please answer the questions based on your individual experience reporting and seeking remediation of hazards in your privatized military home. Answering these questions will help us inform Congress about this important issue.

We will not release any individually identifiable data obtained from individuals responding to this survey outside of GAO, unless required by law or requested by a member of Congress. We will report the summary results of this survey. If we incorporate examples of individual survey responses into the report, we will do so in a manner that prevents the identification of the respondents. You will have the option to provide your name and contact information at the end of the survey if you would like so that we can potentially follow up on any of your responses.

When you click on the link you will be prompted to create an account. Please record your password in case you would like to save your response and complete or access the survey at a later date. It is optional to include your email and full name when you create your account.

Thank you for your time and assistance.
